It’s quite rare an artist is both amazingly creative, productive and has good management skills. Galwegian Julie Feeney does it all: she composes, writes, sings and promotes all her songs, and it’s needless to say she is truly passionate about music. Her debut album ‘13 songs’ won in 2006 ‘Irish Album of the Year - Choice Music Prize’ (Ireland’s ‘Mercury Music Prize’) and the album was received rave reviews in Ireland, the U.K. and the U.S. The critics immediately appraised Julie for her sparse, clean vocals over a heady mix of delicate bittersweet melodies, the fluidity of her voice with intricate multi-layered textures is combined with intelligent lyrics, giving rise to a beautifully reflective work. ‘13 songs’ is an album of her own songs about love, life and friendship, serious and humourous, from the twenty-something perspective. The inspiring debut arouses a myriad of sensations, with this debut album Julie Feeney announces herself as the most intriguing female voice….to come out of Ireland since Sinead O’Connor.
Currently She’s working on her second new album for her  Major debut Record Label with Sony BMG and hope to have it fully recorded this summertime…
A rare gem you have to listen and to stop by…

The long-awaited for We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things Jason Mraz’s new album was released on May 13, in order to hold us spellbound, he brought out three acoustic EP’s of his new songs. The now Jason’s cult song I’m Yours is the first single. This new release is a real turning point and is very different unlike the previews albums: funky, folky, bluesy, jazzy, this is a beautiful mixture of genres with its 12 unique tracks ! We can find some “vestiges” of his first album Waiting For my Rocket To Come (Details in the Fabric (a duet with James Morrison) or Love for a Cild), but also of MR. A-Z ( Coyotes and Beautiful Mess), the rest of We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things is strongly marked by the brass wind, the string band and the choirs. We can also notice the presence of Colbie Caillat in the bautiful and nice duet Lucky !

Anyway, you must listen to this album with a brand new ear and a lot of dispassion in order to appreciate every niceties it offers you.

Kelley Mc Rae’s ‘‘Never Be’’ is a strong debut for the singer and will please anyone willing to take a chance on someone new. Native from Mississipi, Kelley McRae began her career as an actress studying drama at Southern Methodist University, where her decision to enroll in an elective guitar course provided a change of course. The result was an immediate connection to the craft of songwriting.

Her first album released in 2006, “Never Be” was recorded in Brooklyn. The album is a beautiful reflection of Kelley’s live shows and features the honey-sweet harmonies of Sarah Fullen and Virginia Kull, along with the collaboration of Jake Sanders on resonator guitar and Sean McClowry on upright bass. Produced by J.D. Foster (Calexico, Richard Buckner, Laura Cantrell), the album also showcases the work of Dave Schramm, Ted Reichman and Joan Baez’s longtime drummer, George Javori.

Mature beyond her years, Philadelphia native Melody Gardot possesses a very natural musicality and a silky, versatile voice. While comparisons to the standards of Norah Jones and Madeleine Peyroux are justified, Melody’s confident grace and elegance shine throughout “Goodnite” and “Worrisome Heart”. With her tasteful and warm phrasing, moving seamlessly between the mellow old-time blues, jazz influences and acoustic folk, Melody captures the essence of the subtle beauty, confessional and timeless songwriting. The return of Amy Studt : despite her successful debut album “False Smiles” five years ago, sold around 200,000 copies and had three top 20 singles, Amy Studt has been dropped by her record label Polydor, considering the sales were not enough… just before her 18th birthday. That could have been the end of the story, as it has been for so many child stars who had their 15 minutes of fame, then disappeared. But, almost four years later, a new Amy Studt is back. At the age of 21, she’s older – but still young enough to have written the time and place of our meeting on the back of her hand – wiser and surprisingly buoyant after her flirtation with fickle fame. She’s still with Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment, where she is a label-mate of Emma Bunton, Rachel Stevens and other manufactured pop idols from his television franchises in the UK and USA. But the girl once dubbed “Britain’s Avril Lavigne” is no longer little.

In 2006, after eight years of fronting the critically acclaimed Colorado-based band, Newcomers Home, and releasing her first solo record, Watch Them Fall, as a side project—singer/songwriter Katie Herzig retreated to the solitude of her bedroom studio. There, she single-handedly recorded and produced Weightless, a tour-de-force of innovative sonics and songwriting whose tracks have been prominently featured on NPR, KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, E.R., Smallville, and, most recently, on two episodes of television’s highest-rated drama, Grey’s Anatomy.

Following the release of Weightless, Herzig left Colorado for Nashville and immediately started to catch the attention of other artists. Her song “Heaven’s My Home” received a 2007 Grammy nomination for best country performance by The Duhks. She was also invited to open shows for The Fray and join PASTE Magazine and American Songwriter Magazine sponsored tours.

Performing Songwriter Magazine wrote, “Katie Herzig possesses gravity-defying powers on her latest release, balancing heavy and mournful lyrics with light pop melodies that bounce and float into the stratosphere.” PASTE Magazine’s Jason Killingsworth said, “Katie Herzig has a whimsical side that I love. Her music doesn’t take itself too seriously, and the lyrics always [have] a sharp emotional edge to them. I’m a huge fan.”

And now, on May 13, 2008, Katie Herzig’s fans can expect her most adventurous and satisfying album yet: Apple Tree.

The very beautiful and very strange American, Kelly De Martino is a magnetic character. Worked as an actress in some TV series, films and commercials in Los Angeles, entered the world of fashion in New York City by creating clothing and saving money for leaving for Paris, she signs her first album “Honest” with french label “Village Vert”.

With a voice that Hope Sandoval of Mazzy Star or Ambrosia Parsley from Shivaree might envy and minimalist folk songwriting, slow and fragile, gentle and delicate, she unveils treasures of a marvelous and venomous poignant beauty… a crossroad between the velvet melancholy underground and sixties pop. Her song “My Little Fighter” is a fully regal grace and charm. Kelly’s seductive and mesmering voice deserves a little detour that you will never forget…
